Axl Keegan makes NXT television debut

Axl Keegan, known by many locally as Max Bauer, made his television debut with WWE NXT in a match with Bo Dallas last week. Dallas, the son of Mike Rotunda, won the match with a spear.

Here’s a brief rundown of the match from Wrestleview.com

“Axl is already in the ring for his debut. Bo Dallas gets his introduction. They lock up and Bo is pushed into the corner. He fights back and gets the early offensive. It ends when Axl throws Bo into the turnbuckle. Bo takes some slams and other high power moves and holds. Tony corrects that Axl is from Farmingham, as he was announced as from “Birmingham, MA”. There is no such town. Bo Dallas turns the match in his favor. It leads up to a spear for the pinfall.”

The longtime New England star made his WWE NXT debut last month, teaming with Corey Graves at an NXT house show, defeating the team of Trent Barretta and Ben Satterly, who was formerly known on the independent scene as “Pac.”

After he wrestled in three tag-team matches, Keegan made his singles debut, defeating former Tensai lackey, Sakamoto, in Plant City, Fla.

Keegan’s New England career is legendary. He’s a former three-time Chaotic Wrestling Tag Team Champion and a two-time Chaotic Wrestling New England Hvt. Champion. He also held the ECWA Tag Team Championship and is also a forner NECW Triple Crown Hvt. Champion.

In 2008, Bauer won the Triple Crown Hvt. Championship after defeating Rick Fuller and Antonio Thomas in a three-way match. His 672 day title regin is still an NECW record to this day.
